Come dance with us this summer!
Our 2024 camps offer outdoor play, creative dance classes, art projects and a final informal performance!
We will offer camps at two locations this year:
All dance & nature camps in collaboration with the New River Land Trust will take place at Heritage Park, 2300 Glade Road.
We will also offer more dance-intensive camps at the Blacksburg Dance Theater studio (1711 N. Main St.) with occasional field trips. See below for more info, dates and rates for ages 5-17.

Tween/Teen Technique Sampler & Choreography Intensive:
June 10-14, 2024, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Ages 10-17
Some dance experience recommended but not required.
Location: Blacksburg Dance Theater, 1711 North Main Street
Cost: $300 per dancer (10% discount for sibling pairs)
Tween/Teen Sample Schedule:
9:00-9:15: Arrive/Circle
9:15-10:30: Class #1 (ballet/hip hop/jazz/musical theater, etc. alternate each day)
10:30-11:00: Free time, snack, art project
11:00-11:30: Pilates, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), other conditioning for dancers
11:30-12:45: Class #2 (modern dance/improvisation/choreography)
12:45-1:15: Free time, lunch, art
1:15-3:00: Choreography project/rehearsal (M/W/F) alternating with AERIAL YOGA CLASS AT IN BALANCE YOGA (T/TH)
3:00: Dismissal
Kids Morning Dance Camps at the Studio: 8:30-12:30, ages 4-10

8:45-9:35: Dance Class (varying styles, grounded in creative movement)
9:35-10:00: Free time/snack/art
10:00-11:00: Outdoor Play
11:00-11:45: Practice Dance Show
11:45-12:30: Free time/outdoor play
12:30: Dismissal
New for 2024: Our instructors will provide overlapping care for a small fee from 12:30-1:00 if you would prefer to leave your dancer for both sessions!
